For centuries Christianity was the dominant Religion in the world, it felt no threat from any other way of life or any other philosophy prevailed at that time. And Christianity was dominating and church had the highest authority, but it was all until Islam emerged in the main stage and People accepted Islam in huge waves, the conversions were so massive that Islam became the threat to the faith and creed of Christianity. First time in the history of Christianity it faced a very strong competitor, a very strong opponent according to the followers of the Christianity.

The enmity of Islam grew very much amongst the learned men of Christendom and they wanted to respond to the call of Islam in every possible way and this even included the military action against the Muslims.

CRUSADES
Pope Urban II , in 1095, gave a rousing speech urging all Christians to unite against the Islamic threat and save Jerusalem from “the wicked race” of Saracens (a fairly nasty term for Arabs & Muslims). On July 15 1099, the crusaders from Western Europe conquered Jerusalem, falling upon its Jewish and Muslim inhabitants like avenging angels from the Apocalypse. About 40,000 Muslims were slaughtered in two days. A thriving populous city had been transformed into a stinking charnel house.

The enmity against Islam was so immense, the venom of hatred against Islam was inculcated in the minds and hearts of people that even small children’s were against Islam, In the year 1212 the first children crusade was led by Stephen of France, a 12 year old shepherd boy. Stephen said that God had appeared to him in a vision on a hillside near Cloyes in France. God told him that only innocent children could drive the bad guys out of the Holy Land. His Zeal attracted thousands of kids, most of them under 12 years old. About 30,000 children went on a “Holy Mission” to drive out “bad guys” from the Holy Land. The slimy merchants finally loaded the exhausted little crusaders into old, rotten ship for “free transport of the Holy Land”. Two of the ship sank, and all board drowned. The Kids on the other ships were sold into slavery.   

Thus between 1095- 1270 there were eight Crusades (“Holy War”). In a broader sense all the wars between the Muslim power and the Christian power of Eastern Europe were considered Crusades. The Reconquista of Spain was considered a Crusade. (Above all When the British occupied Jerusalem, in 1917, which has been just vacated by the Ottomans, they declared it as the end of Crusades.) 

This hatred does not end here it continued in the minds of the westerners even in 20th century, Jeremy Johns, in his book “Christianity and Islam” in John McManners, edition 1990, in page 194 he states In 1920, when the French army entered Damascus, their commander marched directly to Saladin’s tomb and declared, famously: “Nous revoila, Saladin”- “We’re back!” or “here We are again”.

CHRISTIAN DILEMMA
All the military actions against Muslims didn’t restrict Islam from spreading, because Islam triumphed every time when these western forces tried to wipe out Islam from this world. The Christians were in quagmire, they really needed to stumble the rise of Islam, as the Christians very well know that Islam is the only religion that could overcome Christianity and ultimately put an end to it. The rise of Islam will be downfall of Christianity. The Military action against Muslims is not always possible, they required to tackle Islam intellectually, to defeat Islam intellectually for this the Christians adopted, experimented various methodologies to discredit Islam and one of the way is through Media! , Distorting and Defaming Islam by bombarding misinformation about Islam and our last Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him)
A recent survey of world religions states that Islam is the world’s fastest-growing religion with nearly one billion followers. Thus, Islam is the faith of one-fifth of the world’s population. Over the past 50 years Islam has increased by about 500 percent. During this same period Christianity, also with about one billion adherents, grew by only 47 percent.[ "News," Christianity Today, January 8, 1985, p. 61.]

In Western Europe Islam is the second largest religion. Two years ago Al Islam, an Islamic magazine in West Germany, confidently predicted that within two decades Europe would be won over to Islam.
In Greece there are now nearly 300 mosques. In France, there are about one and a half million Muslims, "about six Muslim residents in France for every born again French Christian.”-          [ "Islam: It’s Their Turn," Frontiers, Urbana ’84 Issue, p. 13]

The United States has not been immune to Islamic expansionism. The first mosque in this country was built in 1934 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Today there is at least one mosque in virtually every major American city. There are an estimated three million Muslims in America, nearly two million of which are converts." Detroit alone has 250,000 Muslims. In Chicago a new $15 million mosque was just recently completed. In all there are more than 200 mosques and Islamic groups in this country.

We could continue our examination of Islam’s penetration into this country at great length. However, from even the few cases we have noted it should be more than evident that Islam is rapidly becoming a significant religious force in America.

The above quotations are taken from Western sources which clearly indicates their fear for Islam, that Islam will take over the West someday (which is a reality! inshaAllah). To counter Islamic growth the West has taken series of steps to stumble the growth of Islam!

 Clearly shows western prejudice and double standards and islamophobic tendency the west adopts. This is not new for Islam; it has been under attack from the day of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Brian Whitaker states that Saudi curriculum teaches to disparage Christianity and Judaism, which is totally untrue, the method of mocking, belittling which is the synonym for the word, are the methodologies used by west or more precisely by western Christians and Jews against Islam. For e.g late Edward Said was professor in Columbia University in US as well as writer and activist states that from the period 1800-1950 there were 60,000 books written against Islam (source: TIME Magazine, April 16, 1979) and in text books our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was belittled, mocked, insulted as Camel Driver etc., there were thousands of books published insulting Islam, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) moreover the authors of such books were honored with best awards (Well., for e.g very infamous “Satanic Verses” by Salman Rushdie). An Easy way to get to the Hall of Fame is to bash Islam!

The spiritual leaders of Christendom, like Jerry Falwell, Franklyn Graham spit venom against Islam.
The God of Islam is not the same God. He's not the son of God of the Christian or Judeo-Christian faith. It's a different God, and I believe it [Islam] is a very evil and wicked religion." [2001-NOV-16: According to MSNBC, Franklin Graham appeared on the NBC Nightly News, commenting on Islam.]

"Jerry Fallwell called the founder and revered prophet of Islam, Muhammed, a 'terrorist' on CBS's '60 Minutes' on Sunday, October 6.

At about 39 minutes into a 2002-NOV-10 broadcast, televangelist Jimmy Swaggart referred to the Prophet Muhammad as a "sex deviant," "pervert," and "pedophile." According to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), "He also called for the expulsion of all foreign Muslim university students in the United States and for profiling of airline passengers 'with a diaper on their head and a fan-belt around their waist.' Of American Muslims, Swaggart said: 'We ought to tell every other Moslem (sic) living in this nation that if you say one word, you're gone.' "

Franklyn Graham: "I don’t believe this is a wonderful, peaceful religion. When you read the Koran and you read the verses from the Koran, it instructs the killing of the infidel, for those that are non-Muslim."

DOUBLE STANDARDS OF WEST: FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION or MOCKERY!!
When West attacks Islam its Freedom of Expression, When Islam disagrees with their ideology then its disparaging!!!  What so for the West attacked about Islam is full of Misinformation, distortion of true Islamic teachings and they are continuously doing it as they control the World media.

Everyone has the right to express their thoughts and views but make sure you do it with proof or when you are indicated about your mistake one should be bold enough to correct his view.

In that news article Brian Whitaker writes that “A lesson for six-year-olds reads: "All religions other than Islam are false."

Indicating as such Islam is the only religion which claims this way!

If the latest in the "Left Behind" series of evangelical thrillers is to be believed, Jesus will return to Earth, gather non-Christians to his left and toss them into everlasting fire:

"Jesus merely raised one hand a few inches and a yawning chasm opened in the earth, stretching far and wide enough to swallow all of them. They tumbled in, howling and screeching, but their wailing was soon quashed and all was silent when the earth closed itself again."

These are the best-selling novels for adults in the United States, and they have sold more than 60 million copies worldwide. The latest is "Glorious Appearing," which has Jesus returning to Earth to wipe all non-Christians from the planet. It's disconcerting to find ethnic cleansing celebrated as the height of piety.

If a Muslim were to write an Islamic version of "Glorious Appearing" and publish it in Saudi Arabia, jubilantly describing a massacre of millions of non-Muslims by God, we would have a fit. We have quite properly linked the fundamentalist religious tracts of Islam with the intolerance they nurture, and it's time to remove the motes from our own eyes.”

In "Glorious Appearing," Jesus merely speaks and the bodies of the enemy are ripped open. Christians have to drive carefully to avoid "hitting splayed and filleted bodies of men and women and horses."
"The riders not thrown," the novel continues, "leaped from their horses and tried to control them with the reins, but even as they struggled, their own flesh dissolved, their eyes melted and their tongues disintegrated. . . . Seconds later the same plague afflicted the horses, their flesh and eyes and tongues melting away, leaving grotesque skeletons standing, before they, too, rattled to the pavement."

Forget about killing the non-Christians, according to the above book, Jesus didn’t even spare the Animals!!! But this is freedom of expression right!!!
 
Who is disparaging? This is a clear proof for Western double standards!!!
 Now tell me, does Christianity believe all other religions are true along with Christianity? If you ask a learned Christian or a priest or an evangelist, what is the way to salvation? He wont say to you be a Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, or an Atheist you will attain heaven!! Rather he would say: accept Jesus as your personal saviour that Jesus died for your sins! In other words become a Christian!
“The Principles of Faith” issued by the Vatican wherein: “The Christian Faith cannot accept any kind of Revelation that corresponds to or overtops the revelation of the messiah, such as that Revelation on which are based non-Christian religions and sects”

Mainstream Christianity doesn’t believe other religions as true that means according to Christian Doctrine all other religions and sects except Christianity are FALSE.

They misquote Qur’an stating it ordains to Kill the infidels, which makes our beloved Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) a Terrorist (Naouthubillah!) then read this:

“But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me.'"

Who do you think said the above words? Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him)!! Are these words in the Qur’an?? NO

These are found in THE HOLY BIBLE and the above statement is made by none other than the PRINCE OF PEACE Jesus (peace be upon him) Himself! (Luke 19:27) Can we label Jesus (peace be upon him) as a TERRORIST! (Naouthubillah!)

"If any one comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.”

These are found in THE HOLY BIBLE and the above statement is made by none other than the PRINCE OF PEACE Jesus (peace be upon him) Himself! In Luke 14:26

Will a Muslim ever refer Jesus (peace be upon him) as a TERRORIST? Never! Because Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) made his followers to believe in Jesus (peace be upon him)

Islam is the only non-Christian faith, which makes it an article of faith to believe in Jesus (pbuh). No Muslim is a Muslim if he does not believe in Jesus (pbuh).

We believe that he was one of the mightiest Messengers of Allah (swt).

We believe that he was born miraculously, without any male intervention    anWhich many modern day Christians do not believe.

We believe he was the Messiah translated Christ (pbuh).

We believe that he gave life to the dead with God’s permission.

We believe that he healed those born blind, and the lepers with God’s permission.

Muslims will never attribute any such lie against any Messengers of Allah (swt) that is how our beloved Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) taught his believers.
Christianity claims all other religions are false except Christianity, Judaism claims all other religions are false except Judaism and this is the case of almost all religions but  difference between Islam and other religion is that  Islam encourages dialogue between other religions by reviewing the proofs, Islam doesn’t ask its followers to deny or reject any religions blindfolded but encourages dialogue to enhancing the better understanding even then if one wants to remain in his religion he can do so as its his choice there is no compulsion in religion. Islam doesn’t attack any religion disparagingly.

When they will stop demonizing Islam and Muslims!!! They want to extinguish the Light of Islam! But Allah says in surah As-Saff chapter 61 verses 8 and 9
“8.They intend to put out the Light of Allâh (i.e. the religion of Islâm, this Qur'ân, and Prophet Muhammad Sal-Allaahu 'alayhe Wa Sallam) with their mouths. But Allâh will complete His Light even though the disbelievers hate (it).

9. He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad Sal-Allaahu 'alayhe Wa Sallam) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islâmic Monotheism) to make it victorious over all (other) religions even though the Mushrikűn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh and in His Messenger Muhammed Sal-Allaahu 'alayhe Wa Sallam) hate (it).” (61:8-9)
